As we described in the post LSS exam is conducted for a scholarship program for class 4th standard. This examination is held by Kerala Pariksha Bhavan. It is only for the Lower secondary scholarship program where only 4th class students take participate if your child is in the upper class then they are eligible for the USS examination. In the USS exam, only 7th class students take participate.
